Redmi introduced yesterday the Redmi Note 8 Pro alongside the Redmi Note 8 in China. One of the ways Redmi chose to promote this model was by revealing the disassembly images of the device showing the internal components.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a number of premieres that are unveiled by disassembly. The mid-range premium model is the first smartphone to use MediaTek Helio G90T chipset.
The device is also the first to bet on the 64MP ISOCELL Bright Samsung GW1 sensor, which is the main sensor with a quadruple camera configuration.
The disassembly also shows the remaining rear cameras as well as the camera for selfies. However, Note 8 Pro uses liquid cooling technology that can be found on most popular gaming smartphones.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53″ inch IPS LCD display that has a dropper shaped single mirror. It supports Full HD + resolution of 1080 × 2340 pixels and has a screen aspect ratio of 91.4%.
TUV Rheinland certification for the screen ensures that it filters out harmful blue rays. The front and rear are protected by Gorilla Glass 5 glass. However, the IP52 certified chassis comes with a special waterproof coating.
This device also includes a 4,500mAh battery that supports fast charging of 18W.
The MediaTek Helio G90T processor brings this device to life. It adds up to 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM. This smartphone will hit the Chinese market in 64 GB and 128 GB storage models.
The MIUI 10 Android 9 Pie operating system will be preloaded on the device. It comes equipped with a microSD card slot for more storage.
However, other features include NFC, IR sensor, 3.5 mm audio output, super linear speaker and smart PA.
